    The brief introduction about SIP Xietang School

    [The basic information] Due to the adjustment of the SIP’s educational layout, Xietang School has been established in November, 2011. It consists of the original No.7 Middle School and Xietang experimental primary school. The school is located in Dunhuang Road, Xietang Region. It possesses beautiful environment and convenient transportation:it is adjacent to the Dushu Lake Science and Education Innovation District in the south. Besides, the campus is against the Xietang Street in the north and nears the Jinji Lake in the west. It is a full-time nine-year school with the scale of “8 rails,72 classes” and is the directly affiliated institution of SIP Administrative Committee.

    [The connotation and the characteristics] Relying on the profound humanistic tradition, unique ecological resources of Xietang and the wisdom education concept of SIP, Xietang School actively comply the trend that education should be modern, balanced, international and characteristic. Besides, under the guidance of the spirit “doing the best to advocate knowledge and pursue the truth”, it strives for cultivating a   campus culture with traditional Suzhou style, which conforms to the will of all the teachers and students: “Making your life more beautiful” as the core concept of running school, “building a Suzhou style school” as the developmental aim, “Virtuous and erudite” as the school motto. The school aims to teach each group of students kindly and guide each child benevolently. It tries to teach students to establish virtue, respect knowledge, pursue perfection and be willing to get along with others. Supported by modern educational concept, fine management and the high-quality teachers , Xietang School strives for constructing a delicate Suzhou style school combing traditional culture and modern civilization. At the campus, international vision and the Chinese sentiments are in complete harmony and city features and school characters bring out the best in each other .
